Manufactured at JLR’s Solihull plant alongside existing hybrid versions, the Range Rover electric will initially utilize batteries from an external supplier before transitioning to packs produced in the upcoming Somerset gigafactory planned by JLR’s parent company, Tata Motors. The assembly of batteries and electric drive units for the model will take place at JLR’s new electric propulsion manufacturing center in Wolverhampton.
