Aprilla first showcased the RS 457 in India at the first-ever Indian MotoGP round, but they have finally launched the bike for the Indian Market at Rs. 4.25 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and it’s worth noting that this price is not an introductory price.
The new Aprilla RS 457 is manufactured in India at the Baramati facililty, and from this facility, the RS 457 will be exported to other international markets. The Aprilla RS 457 was designed at Aprilla’s Italian headquarters drawing inspiration from the distinctive RS 660. It’s styling elements includes sleeker LED headlights with three elements, dedicated riding stance, upward-sloping rear end, and dynamic sporty graphics. The Sports Bike, RS 457 is perched on a perimeter frame with an bolt-on-frame attached to it.The RS 457 is powered by the new 457cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine, capable of generating 46.35 BHP power with the torque output of 43.5 NM, but this engine is paired to the 6 Speed Gearbox. In terms of braking performance, the front wheel comes with 320 MM front disc equipped with four-piston callipers and the rear is fitted with 220 MM disc with a single-piston calliper.Moving to the suspension setup, Aprilla has equipped the RS 457 with an USD fork suspension in the front, and a monoshock suspension at the rear with both units adjustable for pre-load. Coming to the features, the RS 457 boasts a range of electronic aids, including three ride modes – Eco, Rain, and Sport, adjustable traction control with three settings, and dual-channel ABS. Additionally, it comes with a vibrant 5-inch TFT display for instrumentation, and backlit switchgear on the handlebars.In India, the Aprilla RS 457 competes with the KTM RC 390, Kawasaki Ninja 400, and the upcoming Yamaha YZF R3.
