Alturas G4 BS 6 launch will take place once the lockdown is over
Mahindra Alturas G4 was launched in India back on November 25, 2018 and has been averaging at around 300 units per month while the competitors grabbing the 500 to 2000 units monthly.The feature rich SUV with BS 6 compliant was supposed was to be launched in April 2020 but the launch has been delayed due to coronavirus pandemic along with a number of other cars.
Not only the launch of BS 6 cars have been hurt but also the launch timeline of upcoming cars have been rescheduled as well.
The official bookings for BS 6 Mahindra Alturas G4 are now open and the interested customers can book the SUV at a total sum of Rs. 50,000.Also, you can pre book some of the accessories from the same website like rear entertainment screen, chrome kit, car refrigerator among others.
Unlike the BS 4 Alturas G4 which was available in 4×2 RWD and 4×4 AWD variants, the BS 6 variant lineup will includes only 4×4 trim which means the discontinuation of the 4×2 base trim.No interior, exterior changes would be made.
Like before, it can be had in a total of 5 exterior colour schemes – Pearl white, D Sat Silver, Lakeside brown, Napoli black and Regal blue.
Alturas G4 comes in just a single Diesel engine options, that is, 2.2 L 2157 cc 4 cylinder diesel mill which outs out 178 BHP @ 4000 RPM and torque is stated at 420 NM @ 1600 RPM.It is paired to Mercedes sourced 7 speed automatic gearbox and has a claimed fuel efficiency of 11.4 kmpl.While the fuel efficiency will slightly go down in BS 6 version of Mahindra Alturas G4.
The 7 seater, 3 row Mahindra Alturas G4 comes with 3 years and 1.2 L kms of warranty and scored a perfect 5 stars in Global NCAP and K-NCAP thanks to Ultra Rigid Quad Frame Platform with use of 80% high strength steel.
The BS4 Alturas G4 base model 4×2 AT is priced at Rs. 27,70,150 while the top end 4×4 all wheel drive gets a price tag of Rs. 30,70,150.With the BS 6 update, the price of 4×4 AWD will go up by around Rs. 1 Lakh.
