While the launch of the BE.05 is still a year away, the electric SUV was spotted yet again undergoing tests, probably testing all its equipments and testing the range of the SUV and figuring out how to increase it further.
Mahindra BE.05 SUV boasts a wide front with C-shaped LED DRLs, split LED headlamps, large air dams, and bumper-mounted fog lamps. Its squared-off wheel arches and sizable wheels give it a muscular stance. Features include flush-fitting door handles, A-pillar-mounted ORVMs, connected LED taillamps, and a split spoiler for a sporty look.

Inside, the all-black cabin with silver accents and a piano black center console offers a sophisticated feel. The split grey finish between the passenger and driver creates a cockpit-like ambiance. The floating center console has storage underneath, a tall gear lever, push start/stop button, wireless charger, cup holder, and a rotary dial for infotainment control.
The twin-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated BE logo and touch-capacitive controls, seen in recent Tata SUVs, is another highlight. The dashboard features a twin-display setup, AC vents, and a center console arm. Additional features include a frameless IRVM, pull straps on the doors instead of conventional handles, and grey fabric upholstery.
Dimensions are 4370 mm in length, 1900 mm in width, and 1653 mm in height, with a 2775 mm wheelbase and a 205 mm ground clearance. The BE.05 is expected to have a 79 kWh LFP battery pack with a 450 – 500 KM range, along with 2WD and 4WD options, with the 2WD sporting a rear-mounted motor producing 284 BHP and 535 NM torque, and the 4WD featuring dual motors with a front-mounted motor producing 108 BHP and 135 NM torque.
Features-wise, we expect the BE.05 to sport ADAS, 360 Surround View Camera, Panoramic Sunroof, 12.3-inch displays – Infotainment and Digital Cluster; Front Ventilated Seats, Powered Front Seats, Electric Parking Brake with auto hold, Dual-Zone Climate Control, Hill Descent Control, 7 Airbags, and so much more.
There’s a good chance that when Mahindra launches its electric SUV, it’ll compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki eVX, Hyundai Creta EV, and its arch-nemesis, Tata Curvv EV. The BE.05 is expected to launch in October 2025 from Rs. 20 – Rs. 30 Lakhs.
