Mahindra Marazzo Variants and Features Explained | Base M2 vs M4 vs M6 vs Top Model M8

Mahindra is finally introducing one of the most highly anticipated cars of 2018 in the form of Marazzo on September 3,2018 in India.Bookings for the Mahindra Marazzo are open at the booking amount of Rs. 10,000.

Marazzo features a shark-inspired design with the best in class space and comfort along with industry 1st surround cool technology.The MPV is Mahindra’s first monocoque-bodied large vehicle co-developed by Italian design house Pininfarina and Mahindra Design Studio and first product to be engineered through Mahindra North America technical Centre (MNATC) and Mahindra Research Valley (MRV) in Chennai.

Marazzo will initially get only one powertrain and that will be 1.5-litre four cylinder diesel engine with 135 bhp and 300 nm of torque.Transmission unit will be a 6-speed manual gearbox with the introduction of automatic unit later this year.It will be offered in 2 seating options – 7 and 8 seater.

Marazzo will be available in a total of four variants.These are M2 base model,M4,M6 and top-end M8 model.Standard Safety Features of the MPV includes ABS with EBD,Brake Assist,ISOFIX Child Seat Mounts,Dual Front Airbags with passenger airbag off-switch and Speed Sensitive Auto Door Lock/Unlock.

Along with Standard Safety Features,M2 trim includes features like engine immobiliser,16-inch steel wheels without wheel covers.The seats will be wrapped in fabric upholstery and not leather.The ORVMs as well as air-con will be manually controllable.All four power windows and central locking will also be offered right from the standard variant.Digital clock will be available in M2.Comfort and convenience features includes 12V power outlet,USB charging port for the rear passengers with roof mounted rear A/C vents.

The M4 trim,second variant of the lineup will too come with fabric upholstery and 16-inch steel wheels but they will wear the wheel cover.In this variant,ORVMs are electrically adjustable with the offering of rear wiper and washer.On the exterior front,shark finn antenna will be the only addition.Convenience equipments includes driver seat height adjustment,voice messaging along with USB socket for front row with USB as well as AUX port for the rear occupants.

M6 trim has to be the most value for money variant with many premium features on offer.Safety features in M6 includes rear parking sensors,emergency call,follow me home headlamps,front and rear fog lamps.Interior of M6 gets loads of upgradation from M4 in the form of sunglass holder,personal reminders(anniversary, birthday etc).M6 also wears a premium fabric upholstery.Other features on the inside includes adjustable lumbar support for front seats,illuminated passenger-side vanity mirror,sunglass holder.The central console will house 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and will sport wooden inserts.M6 comes with steering mounted audio controls also.Remote keyless entry will be offered as a premium equipment.MPV sits on 16-inch alloys rather than the 16-inch steel ones offered on M2 and M4.Other exterior features includes projector headlamps with cornering lamps. 

The top-spec model,M8,will sport stylish 17-inch machined alloys.It will come with all the bells and whistles.Interior will get premium leather seating upholstery,automatic climate controls,cooled glovebox with illumination  The 7-inch infotainment will also support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in the M8 variant.This system also gets display for reverse camera.Creature comfort includes Cruise control,Power folding and adjustable wing mirrors,Dual USB sockets for front and rear passengers and puddle lamp for added style.M8 variant also comes with LED DRLs which the M6 trim misses out.

Marazzo will compete with Maruti Ertiga and Toyota Innova Crysta.It will be launched with a price tag of Rs. 8 Lakh – Rs. 13 Lakh.
