Mahindra May 2024 is revealed and it reports total sales of 43,218 units which were greatly boosted by the recent launch of the all-new XUV3XO SUV with it securing 50,000+ bookings in just one hour.

In May 2024, Mahindra recorded domestic sales of 43,218 units with a 31.42% YoY increase from the 32,886 units sold last year. This also marked a 5.39% MoM growth compared to the 41,008 units sold in April 2024. All these sales were part of the company’s utility vehicle (UV) lineup, as sales of cars and vans dropped to zero. Including exports, Mahindra’s total sales for May 2024 reached 44,283 vehicles. Year-to-date (YTD) figures show a 25% increase with 84,226 units sold in April and May 2024, up from 67,577 units during the same period in the previous year.

Commercial Vehicle and 3-Wheeler Sales
In the commercial vehicle (CV) segment, Mahindra experienced varied demand across its different categories. Sales of Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) under 2T grew by 8% YoY to 3,156 units and by 3% YTD to 6,528 units. However, the LCV segment between 2T and 3.5T saw a 12% YoY decline, with sales falling to 13,781 units, and a 4% YTD decrease to 29,473 units.
Sales in the 3.5T and Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicle (MHCV) segments surged by 90% YoY to 5,967 units, with a slight YTD increase of 1% to 11,471 units, compared to 11,403 units sold in the same period last year. Total exports also grew by 2% both YoY and YTD, reaching 5,967 units and 4,528 units, respectively.
