Mahindra announced today that it has achieved highest ever sales in March 2023 with 66,091 units with 21% increased growth, SUV growth volume increased by 31%.

Mahindra has revealed their sales figures for the month of March 2023 and it is bigger, and better than ever for the Mahindra as it recorded 66,091 units of sales which the Mahindra says is the highest it ever recorded with 9% increased growth and the increased volume growth in SUV’s with 35,976 units, which is 31% growth in sales.

The utility vehicles category did sales of 35,976 units in March 2023, which is 31.39% year-on-year increased growth over the 27,380 units in March 2022 with 8,596 units growth. The YTD sales however, increased from 2,23,680 units in FY 2021-22 to 3,56,961 units in FY 2022-23 with 60% increased growth in sales. The Cars + Vans category recorded 21 units sales in March 2023 against the 223 units sales in March 2022, which is 90.58% decline in sales.

The YTD sales also increased from 2,213 units in FY 2021-22 to 2,292 units in FY 2022-23 units with 4% volume growth. The total passenger vehicles sales was 35,997 units in March 2023, which is 30.40% year-on-year growth against the 27,603 units in March 2022. The YTD sales went to 3,59,253 units in FY 2022-23 from 2,25,895 units in March 2022 with 59.03% increased growth.

This growth of Mahindra in sales got extended in the commercial and 3-wheelers segment as well. The ‘LCV < 2T’ reported 3,385 units in March 2023 against the 3,806 units in March 2022, which is 11.06% decline in growth. The YTD sales was 40,419 units in FY 2022-23 against the 32,339 units in FY 2021-22, which is 24.98% increased growth.

The ‘LCV 2 T – 3.5T’ category sold 17,418 units in March 2023, which is 14.5% year-on-year growth against the 15,202 units in March 2022. The YTD sales increased to 1,98,121 in FY 2022-23 from 1,38,343 units in FY 2021-22 with 43.21% increased growth. The ‘LCV > 3.5T + MHCV’ category reported 1,469 units in March 2023 against the 829 units in March 2022 resulting in 77.20% volume growth. The YTD sales increased to 10,036 in FY 2022-23 from 6,435 units in FY 2021-22.

The ‘3 Wheelers (including electric 3Ws)’ category reported 5,697 units in March 2023 against the 4,043 units in March 2022 resulting in 29.03% volume growth. The YTD sales also increased from 30,079 units in FY 2021-22 to 58,520 units in FY 2022-23, which is 94.55% increased growth. The total sales in Commercial and 3-wheelers segment was 27,979 units in March 2023, which is 17.16% year-on-year decline in sales. The YTD sales also increased to 307,096 units in March 2023 against the 207,196 units in March 2022 resulting in 48.21% increased volume growth.

Mahindra exported 2,115 units in March 2023 against the 3,160 units in March 2022, resulting in 33.06% year-on-year decline in sales with 1045 units lesser units sales. The YTD sales also decreased by 1.23% as 32,107 units were exported in FY 2022-23 against the 32,510 units in FY 2021-22.
