Ahead of its sibling, the Thar 5 Door launch, the Mahindra Scorpio N is set to receive a significant update with the addition of features that should have been included initially. Nonetheless, these enhancements are finally being introduced.
The “Big Daddy of SUV”, Mahindra Scorpio-N when initially launched first in the D-Segment, missed out on few features which it shouldn’t have, but anyway, Mahindra has realised it and now are adding it to the SUV now. The SUV misses out on Auto-Dimming IRVM which it rival brand offers in the affordable hatchbacks. Now, Mahindra is adding the frameless Auto-Dimming IRVM to the SUV and a wireless charging pad with cooling function.

In the spy shots of Z8L Trim we saw the Auto-Dimming IRVM, and given the XUV3XO offers from mid variants, it would make sense if it’s offered from the Z6 variant. Another missing feature was the ventilated seats. We all know this feature is useful in sunny weather keeping us cool by circulating cool air through the seat to prevent feeling hot and sweaty.Mahindra will be adding ventilated seats for both first and second row seats which will be an incredible addition to the SUV for its price point as the only other SUV to offer this feature was the Tata Safari. Mahindra may include the ventilated seat for first row only for Z8 variant, and then both first and second row seat for the top-spec trim, Z8L.For now we have only these spy shots, but there’s possibility, more features may be added like 360 Surround View Camera, and ADAS. Panoramic Sunroof won’t be added and will continue with single-pane sunroof. Mechanically, the SUV remains untouched, still comes powered by the 2.2 L Diesel and the 2.0 L Turbo Petrol Engines mated to 6 Speed Manual (MT) and Automatic (AT) Transmissions. However, only the diesel trims get the 4×4 Drive-System.Mahindra is expected to launch the updated Scorpio-N in coming days, most likely after mid half of July 2024.
