Mahindra is all set to launch the XUV300 Facelift in the early 2024 which will see it getting new exterior, and interior updates and along with that it’ll get new features which it’s rivals may not have seen it coming. So, we thought of comparing it against one of its rival, Hyundai Venue to see if it can keep up with the upcoming XUV300 Facelift.
As seen in the spy shots, the upcoming XUV300 Facelift will undergo big exterior changes over the outgoing version. It’ll feature huge new C-Shape LED DRLs that were seen on the concept BE.05 electric SUV, and the DRLs over on the headlamp as frame, closed front grille, new bumpers, bonnet, and new set of alloy wheels. The side profile will remain the same, and will have non-functional roof rails, and body-coloured door handles. The rear will feature new LED taillamps and a LED light bar for a connected light sequence.
The XUV300 Facelift on the other hand, is going to get a new free-standing 10.25-inch infotainment system above the sleeker AC vents and redesigned dashboard, and below the AC vents is the round dial to control the infotainment system or HVAC. It gets new digital instrument cluster which could be the same as the Scorpio-N, and in front of it is the new 4-spoke steering wheel borrowed from the XUV700. It’ll have a first-in segment panoramic Sunroof, and likely powered driver seat. The centre console will undergo some revisions. Moving to the rears, 60:40 split are the seats, and it’ll continue to get the standard 6 Speaker Sound System.
The Hyundai Venue ever since it got facelift update in 2022, the talking point has been the front face. The front has parametric front grille made up of rectangular block with brown-chrome finish and is slightly dark as well. The fog lamps are out and now the Venue has LED headlamps instead of halogen. At the side, it has wheel arches with chrome door handles, and roof rails at the top. Moving to the rear, it has LED taillamps connected by light bar with faux silver skid plate at the rear and the front and it rides on 16-inch alloy wheels.
From the inside, the Venue has 8-inch infotainment system between the two AC vents and at the edges semi-square shaped AC vents. The Venue does have the option for dual-tone dashboard. It has multi-function four-spoke steering wheel with digital instrument cluster, and a single-pane sunroof. Below the gear lever is a rotary dial to select drive modes. It has two USB ports at the front and two at the rear. The rear seats of the Hyundai Venue is 60:40 split with recline option as well, and it has 6-Speaker Standard Sound System with Ambient lighting around the cabin as well.
