Mahindra launched the new XUV3XO with so many features that its capable of competing with SUVs larger than itself. However, in this article, we compare the XUV3XO against the Tata Nexon to see just how good the XUV3XO is compared to its rival!
Mahindra XUV3XO vs Tata Nexon: Design
Mahindra XUV3XO Exterior:
- C-Shaped LED DRLs; Dual Projector LED Headlamps, flat-ish bonnet, and black element with slanted vertical line made of chrome.
- Blacked-out functional roof rails, best-in-class 17-inch alloy wheels, camera on the ORVMs, and black door cladding.
- The rear gets C-shaped Tail-lamps connected with a LED Light Bar, redesigned flat-ish tailgate, and skid plates both front and rear.
Interior:
- New Free-Standing 10.25-inch Infotainment and 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Cluster, and 4-spoke steering wheel in front of it.
- New dual round dial to control the Dual-Zone Climate Control, tweaked centre console along with new electric parking brake with auto hold.
- Gets Ambient Lighting for the whole cabin, cooled glovebox, and space underneath the centre armrest.
- The Dashboard gets Dual-tone theme. and dial for drive mode.
- On top it gets segment first panoramic sunroof.
- Rear Seats are split in 60:40 ratio with centre armrest, and 3 headrests.
Tata Nexon’s Exterior:
- Front features closed grille with a black element at the center to separate the two L-shaped LED DRLs.
- Vertically-split LED Headlamps, camera’s on the ORVMs for 360 Camera.
- Faux skid plates as bumpers and curv-ish bonnet for better road visibility.
- New 16-inch alloy wheels with round wheel arches.
- The rear gets X-shape connected Tail-lamps while the tailgate is almost flat with C-Protrusions.
Interior:
- New Free-Standing 10.25-inch Infotainment and 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Cluster, and 2-spoke steering wheel in front of it.
- New 4-spoke steering wheel, and Touch-Sensitive Control Panel for Automatic Climate Control.
- Gets Ambient Lighting for the whole cabin, Centre Armrest, and cooled glovebox.
- The Dashboard gets Dual-tone theme. rotary dial for driveshift, and another dial for drive mode.
- Rear Seats are split in 60:40 ratio with centre armrest.
- On top it has single-pane sunroof.

In the end, the decision to buy which model depends totally on you, however, if you ask us, Mahindra is a slightly more affordable than the Nexon. It’s got amazing features that none of its rivals in the whole segment has making it best-in-class SUV. Sure it misses out on 1 or 2 features which its rivals have, however, it has got amazing things to offer like sporty performance, highly fuel efficient, impressive features, more safer in segment than anyone, and so much more. Although Tata Nexon is also a great SUV with tons of features and safety for its occupants, great engine performance, and premium feel as well. So, which one are you gonna choose? XUV 3XO or Nexon ?
