Mahindra XUV700 was launched in the year 2021, it was launched to compete with the Tata Safari, and possibly Toyota Innova Crysta. Initially, it had some bugs with the infotainment system and instrument cluster. But Mahindra has improved on it and there are not many bugs to be found. It was launched at Rs 14L Ex.showroom and at this price point, it was offered with many features that attracted customers and resulted in high sales. The features were not only the reason for the high sales, the ride quality, and driveability had helped the car, but the strong selling point was the fact that it replaced XUV500 and was the only 7-seater car that was on offer by Mahindra.
Now, all these factors have helped Mahindra to roll out 1,00,000 units of Mahindra XUV700, Mahindra has achieved a milestone of 1Lakh unit sales. The lowest sales were done in September 2021 with 1,370 units as it was the first month after the launch whereas the highest sales happened in July 2022 with 6,277 units and in March Mahindra successfully sold 5,107 units. Now, if you are looking forward to buying this car then be ready to wait for 2 years or more because the base variant is the MX variant, it has a waiting period of 24-26 weeks and for the top variant the AX7 and AX7L the waiting period is of 47-48 weeks.
The Mahindra XUV700 is available in 2 engine options that are diesel and petrol engine. The diesel 2.2L Turbocharged engine produces 153bhp and 360nm of torque while the petrol 2.0L turbocharged engine produces 195bhp and 380nm of torque. This engine’s specifications are available with the MX variant. The AX variant is offered with the same petrol engine but with the diesel engine, it produces more power that is 182bhp and 420nm of torque.

Mahindra Thar currently is offered in two different engine options for the two different drive terrains, the RWD variant gets a 1.5L turbocharged diesel engine that produces 115ps of maximum power and as a petrol engine, it gets a turbocharged 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine that produces 150ps of maximum power. Moreover, the 4X4 variant gets a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine that produces 150ps of power and it also gets a diesel engine that is a 2.2L turbocharged diesel engine that produces 130ps of maximum power. All these engine cars are available in both MT and AT gearboxes.
The Mahindra Scorpio-N has 2 engine options, the 2.0L Turbocharged petrol engine that produces 200bhp of maximum power and 370nm of maximum torque. The 2nd engine option is the 2.0L Diesel turbocharged engine that produces 172bhp of maximum power and 370nm of maximum torque. The engine is mated with both MT and AT gearboxes.
