BYD is developing a new electric vehicle that will be introduced on March 5 in an effort to increase the number of EVs in its lineup for the Indian market. This electric vehicle is expected to rival several flagship EVs already available on the market because of its abundance of features and potent performance.
The New BYD Seal: What to Expect?
The design language features a sleek, dynamic car with elegant accents and an eye-catching overall look.
It gets an aggressively designed front fascia with four DRLs and split LED headlights.
The side profile has new diamond-cut alloys with blacked-out B-pillars, flat door handles, and a sportier black skirt design.
To create a sporty diffuser aspect, the rear design will feature a gloss black bumper, a glass roof, and a couple-like rear with a sharp connecting LED taillamp layout.
With a 15.6-inch infotainment system in the middle and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, it will have a lot more advanced features and technology inside, as well as a visually appealing layout overall.
It will also have a cosy cabin with plenty of connectivity and contemporary, fresh amenities.
It will be equipped with an 82.5 kWh battery pack with a stated range of 570 kilometres.
It will only be available in the RWD version, which has a motor positioned on the rear axle that can provide up to 360 Nm of peak torque and 226.8 BHP of power.
Later on, a dual-motor AWD version is anticipated.
With a top speed of 180 km/h, the Seal RWD can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds.
It will support 150 kW of quick charging infrastructure, providing a 10-80% charge in less than 40 minutes.
As a personal charger, it will also come with an 11 kW AC charger that can charge the battery from 0 to 100 percent within nine hours.
