The latest iteration of the Swift bears a resemblance to its current counterpart, but with notable updates across its exterior and interior. The front grille now features a round design with an x-pattern and chrome accents, accompanied by new headlamp units sporting L-shaped LED DRLs and a Mini Cooper-inspired clamshell bonnet. Moving to the side, the C-pillar door handles return to their conventional position, complemented by fresh alloy wheel designs and “HYBRID” badging on the fender. At the rear, a dual-tone bumper and revised LED taillamps with C-shaped elements imbue the hatchback with a sportier demeanor.

Inside the cabin, the design language aligns closely with recent Maruti models, showcasing a tri-tone dashboard theme and a free-standing 9-inch infotainment system. Notable additions include a new climate control panel and a 4-spoke, flat-bottom steering wheel. This engine is likely producing 81 BHP Power and 108 NM of torque and it’s mated with a CVT gearbox driving the front wheels while also offering fuel efficiency as high as 25 KMPL.Feature-wise, the Swift comes equipped with a range of modern amenities including wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, cruise control, automatic climate control, and LED headlamps. Safety features comprise a 360-degree surround-view camera, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, and hill assist. Additionally, the Swift showcased at the Tokyo Motor Show boasted electric parking brake with auto hold and Level 2 ADAS capabilities, hinting at potential advancements in safety technology.With regards to pricing, the current Swift ranges from Rs. 5.99 to Rs. 9.03 Lakh, with an anticipated increase due to a forthcoming price hike across Maruti’s lineup. It’s expected that the new Swift, upon its India launch, will start from around Rs. 6.50 Lakh. Competing in the market against models such as the Maruti Baleno, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, and Tata Tiago, the new Swift aims to offer a compelling blend of features and performance. Additionally, it may pose a challenge to rivals like the Hyundai Exter and Tata Punch given its extensive feature set.
