Despite sharing the same equipments, and platform, there’s quite a difference between the Dzire and the Swift!
Maruti recently launched the Dzire, an important model in the brand’s DNA. The Dzire was tested at the Global NCAP and it scored Full 5 Stars Safety Rating making it the first Maruti model to achieve this feat. Anyway, we thought of comparing the Dzire against it’s hatchback version, the Swift; and see how much unique both the models are.
Dimensions Comparison
- In Length, Dzire is longer by 135 mm over Swift.
- Both the models have the same width of 1735 mm.
- Dzire is taller by 5 mm in height over the Swift.
- Both Models have the same wheelbase [2450 mm], ground clearance [163 mm], turning radius [4.8 m], and fuel tank capacity.
- Dzire has bigger boot space by 127 Litres. Increase in length has allowed Dzire to boast bigger boot over the Swift.
Engine Specs Comparison
- Both the models have the same engine with same power, torque, transmission options.
- However, the Swift is slightly more efficient than the Dzire.
- While the engine and other aspects is same, the Dzire is way more efficient, than the hatchback Swift.
Features Comparison
- While most of the features are shared between the two models, but the Swift misses out on few such as LED Reflector Headlamps, Sunroof, Tyre-Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and 360 Surround View Camera.
Price Comparison
- The Maruti Dzire is offered in four variants – LXI, VXI, ZXI, ZXI+ with pricing between Rs. 6.79 Lakh to Rs. 10.14 Lakhs.
- However, the Maruti Swift is available with optional variants – LXI, VXI, VXI(O), ZXI, ZXI+ with pricing between Rs. 6.49 Lakh to Rs. 9.64 Lakh.
- Price Difference between base variants is Rs. 30,000 and top variant is Rs. 50,000.
