Maruti Invicto – What you need to know!

The Maruti Suzuki Invicto has achieved an impressive feat, with 750 units sold and an impressive milestone of 10,000 bookings recorded in just the one month since its launch. Maruti Suzuki introduced the Invicto Hybrid MUV to the Indian market on July 5th. The Invicto is a rebadged Toyota Innova HyCross that was launched under the Maruti-Toyota Partnership.

Through this collaboration, Toyota India launched the Glanza, Urban Cruiser, and Hyryder, which are basically the rebranded editions of Maruti Suzuki’s Baleno, Vitara Brezza, and Grand Vitara, respectively. Maruti Invicto is the first MUV launched by Maruti Suzuki under this collaboration, and with this launch, Maruti has step foot in the premium MUV segment. Currently, Maruti Invicto is available in three variants – Zeta Plus 7 Seater at Rs. 24.79 Lakh, Zeta Plus 8 Seater at Rs. 24.84 Lakh, and Alpha Plus 7 Seater at Rs. 28.42 Lakh.

However, the Toyota Innova HyCross is priced between Rs. 18.82 – Rs. 30.26 Lakh with 10 variants on offer, and two powertrains option – Petrol, and Petrol-Hybrid. The Invicto comes with features such as ventilated seats, powered tailgate, 10.1-inch infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, powered seats, captain seats, 360-degree camera, and more. However, to reduce the pricing of the MUV, it misses out on Ottoman Seats, and Level 2 ADAS.

Additionally, Toyota recently filed a trademark under the nameplate, “Urban Cruiser Taisor” indicating or possibly could be for the Maruti Fronx that will be rebadged under the filed trademark which would hence mark the return of Toyota in the Sub-Compact SUV Segment.
