Car Sales in October 2023 keeps growing month-on-month as Maruti Suzuki continues to stay on top of everyone in sales while Hyundai reported highest monthly sales ever!

The demand for cars is soaring crazily, and will likely continue till the end of this year with exciting offers yet to come. In October 2023, all car brands in passenger vehicles category, in total clocked in 3,62,876 units in sales which beats the previous month’s sales of 3,60,230 units with 0.73% growth, and 2,646 units additional sales.

At No. 1 position is as always, Maruti Suzuki with 1,68,012 unit sales in October 2023 which is a growth by 11.43% compared to 1,50,812 units. The Grand Vitara, Fronx, and Jimny are in huge demand with the Grand Vitara recently achieving the 1 Lakh Sales Milestone. At 2nd Position is the Hyundai Motors India with 55,128 unit sales which is 1.64% growth compared to 54,241 units in September. The October sales for Hyundai was the highest ever recorded and they were able to achieve this figure thanks to the cars – Creta, Exter, Verna that are in huge demand contributing towards the sales.

At 3rd position is Tata Motors with 48,343 unit sales over the 44,810 units in September reporting growth by 7.88%. This is likely to increase as the sales will skyrocket thanks to recent launches of Nexon, Harrier, and Safari Facelift. Moreover, Tata is also expected to launch the Punch EV by early the end of 2023.

Mahindra at 4th position sold 43,708 units which is up by 5.92% over the 41,267 units in September. The hefty line-up of SUVs like the XUV300, XUV400 EV, XUV700, Scorpio (Scorpio-N and Classic), Thar, and so on. A facelift is coming for the XUV300 sometime in early 2024 and it’ll bring first-in segment like panoramic sunroof, ADAS, and so on. At 5th position is Toyota with 20,542 unit sales which is down by 7.33% growth followed by Kia at 6th position with 24,351 unit sales and growth by 21.62%.

Honda, and MG Motors sold 9,400 and 5,108 units respectively occupying the 7th and 8th position. Honda is able to achieve big numbers all thanks to it’s recent Compact SUV launch – Elevate. With its aggressive pricing is helping Honda achieve good figures. Skoda and Volkswagen at 9th and 10th position with majority sales for Skoda coming from Slavia, and Kushaq, and Virtus and Taigun, for Volkswagen.

Renault at 11th position with 3,861 unit sales which is up by 14.60% over the 3,369 units in September. Nissan at 12th place with 2,573 units with sales up by 4.85%, Citroen at 13th position with sales up to 630 units from 748 units in September resulting in de-growth by 15.78%. The sales will most likely increase overtime with the recent launch of Citroen C3 Aircross. The Jeep with sales of 507 units over the 481 units resulting in growth by 5.41%.
