Maruti Suzuki has revealed the sales figures for the October 2023, and it’s another great month for them, as it reports 1,99,217 lakh unit sales; almost touching the 2 lakh sales mark.
Maruti Suzuki, the leading carmaker of India, revealed the sales figures of October 2023 and it report sales of 1,99,217 units which is 18.92% year-on-year growth over the 1,67,520 units in October 2022. Out of these 1,99,217 units, 1,71,941 units include domestic sales, 5,325 units include sales to other OEMS, and 21,951 units include export sales. Demand for vehicles in Mini Segment – Alto, S-Presso dipped to 14,568 units from 24,936 units last year with 41.57% year-on-year de-growth. The YTD Sales also de-growth to 87,118 units in FY 2023-24 from 1,45,92 units in FY 2022-23.The Compact Segment – Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, Tour S, WagonR, demand for this category has gone up to 80,662 units from 73,685 units in October 2022 with 9.46% year-on-year growth. However, the YTD Sales decreased to 4,99,591 units in FY 2023-24 from 5,07,113 units in FY 2022-23. The demand for Ciaz in Mid-Size Category has gone down from 1,884 units in October 2022 to 695 units in October 2023 with 63.11% growth. The YTD Sales decreased from 8,810 units in FY 2022-23 to 8,136 units in FY 2023-24.
The Utility Vehicles segments – Brezza, Ertiga, S-Cross, XL6, Grand Vitara, the demand for it increased as well to 59,147 units from 30,971 units last year with 90.97% growth and the YTD Sales also saw huge increase in numbers from 1,94,601 units in FY 2022-23 to 3,65,615 in FY 2023-24. Moreover, the demand for Eeco in Vans category is up to 12,975 units from 8,861 units in October 2022 with 46.42% growth and the YTD Sales is also up to 80,694 units in FY 2023-24 from 78,371 units in FY 2022-23.The Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) Category has Super Carry Mini-Truck which saw increase in demand as it sold 3,894 units from 2,913 units in October 2022 with 33.67% growth and the YTD Sales decreased from 22,422 units in FY 2022-23 to 19,390 units in FY 2023-24. Total Domestic Sales including LCV (PV+LCV) increased from 1,43,250 unit in October 2022 to 1,71,941 units in October with 16.68% year-on-year growth. The YTD Sales increased from 9,57,309 units in FY 2022-23 to 1,060,544 units in FY 2023-24.Maruti also sold vehicles to other OEMs like Toyota and saw growth from 3,822 units in October 2022 to 5,325 units and the YTD Sales however decreased from 42,457 units in FY 2022-23 to 34,265 units in FY 2023-24. Total Domestic Sales (PV+LCV+OEM) increased from 1,47,072 units from 1,77,266 units in October 2022 and total Export Sales increased from 20,448 units in October 2022 to 21,951 units in October 2023.
