Maruti Suzuki has revealed the sales figures for the September 2023, and it’s another great month for them, as it reports 1,81,343 lakh unit sales. Moreover, they surpassed 10 Lakh Sales in just 6 months.

Maruti Suzuki 2023 September Sales

Maruti Suzuki, the leading carmaker of India, revealed the sales figures of September 2023 and it report sales of 1,81,343 units which is 2.8% year-on-year growth over the 1,76,306 units in September 2022. Out of these 1,81,343 units, 1,53,106 units include domestic sales, 5,726 units include sales to other OEMS, and 22,511 units include export sales. Demand for vehicles in Mini Segment – Alto, S-Presso dipped to 10,351 units from 29,574 units with 64.99% year-on-year de-growth. The YTD Sales also de-growth to 72,550 units in FY 2023-24 from 26,346 units in FY 2023-24.

The Compact Segment – Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, Tour S, WagonR, demand for this category has gone down to 68,552 units from 72,176 units in September 2022 with 5.01% year-on-year decline. The YTD Sales decreased to 4,18,930 units in FY 2023-24 from 4,33,428 units in FY 2022-23. The demand for Ciaz in Mid-Size Category increased from 1,359 units in September 2022 to 1,491 units in September 2023 with 9.71% growth. The YTD Sales increased from 6,926 units in FY 2022-23 to 7,441 units in FY 2023-24.

The Utility Vehicles segments – Brezza, Ertiga, S-Cross, XL6, Grand Vitara, the demand for it increased as well to 59,271 units from 32,574 units last year with 81.95% growth and the YTD Sales also saw huge increase in numbers from 1,63,630 units in FY 2022-23 to 3,06,467 in FY 2023-24. However, the demand for Eeco in Vans category is down to 11,147 units from 12,697 units in September 2022 with 12.20% de-growth and the YTD Sales dipped to 67,719 units in FY 2023-24 from 69,510 units in FY 2022-23.

The Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) Category has Super Carry Mini-Truck which saw less demand as it sold 2,294 units from 2,505 units in September 2022 with 8.42% de-growth and the YTD Sales decreased from 19,509 units in FY 2022-23 to 15,496 units in FY 2023-24. Total Domestic Sales including LCV (PV+LCV) increased from 1,50,885 unit in September 2022 to 1,53,106 units in September with 1.47% year-on-year growth. The YTD Sales increased from 8,14,059 units in FY 2022-23 to 8,88,603 units in FY 2023-24.

Maruti also sold vehicles to other OEMs like Toyota and saw growth from 4,018 units in September 2022 to 5,726 units and the YTD Sales however decreased from 38,635 units in FY 2022-23 to 28,940 units in FY 2023-24. Total Domestic Sales (PV+LCV+OEM) increased from 1,58,832 units from 1,54,903 units in September 2022 and total Export Sales increased from 21,403 units in September 2022 to 22,511 units in September 2022.
