Maruti Suzuki has revealed their sales figures, and from January to December 2023, Maruti sold 20,66,219 Units which is easily the highest among the other brands in the Indian Market.
India’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki posted their December 2023 Sales of 1,37,551 Units which includes the Domestic Sales and Exports across the PV and CV Segment. When compared to the 1,39,347 and 1,64,439, Maruti Sales has gone down both Yearly and Monthly. So, the Maruti sales from April to December in FY 2023-24 is 15,51,292 units which is up from the 14,51,237 units by 8.6%. Mini Car Segment – Alto, S-Presso; sold only 2,557 units in December from 9,765 units last year.The Compact Segment – Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, Tour S, WagonR; sold 45,741 units which is down from the 57,502 units last year. Moreover, in FY 2023-24, the sales were 6,10,011 units which is down from the 6,37,459 units in FY 2022-23. In this segment, the Swift and Dzire is set to get the next generation update which will see it getting new features like new 9-inch infotainment system, 360 View Camera, Wireless Charging Pad, and so much. It’s expected to launch in the early 2024.
Ciaz is the only sedan in the mid-size segment contributing 489 sales down from the 1,154 units last year. In Utility Vehicles Segment – Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, S-Cross, and XL6 contributed to 45,957 unit with sales up from the 33,008 units. In FY 2023-24, the sales were 4,60,588 units which is up from the 2,60,172 units in FY 2022-23. Moreover, the Utility Vehicles Segment from January to December accounted to 5,66,545 units.Eeco accounted to 10,034 units from the 10,581 units last year, with 1,36,010 sales in the cumulative year 2023. The Super Carry Pik-up truck in the Commercial Vehicle contributed 1,714 units only up from the 1,525 units last year. Sales to Other OEMs like the Toyota were 4,175 units. The Total Domestic Sales is 1,10,667 units which is down from the 1,17,551 units from last year. However, in Exports, Maruti improved itself from last year as it reports 26,884 units which is up from 21,796 units. In Cumulative Year 2023, Maruti exported 2,69,046.
