Maruti Vitara Brezza has been a very consistent car for Maruti Suzuki in India.Since its launch in March 2016, it has continued to average at 10,000 units per month.Even during the time of slowdown in the auto industry in the country, the compact SUV was still selling in quite good numbers and with this, the Maruti SUV has become the no. 1 selling compact SUV of India.
The compact SUV segment has become more and more competitive as number of brands are entering in this segment.Inspite of so many new rivals for Brezza, the SUV still remains at the top spot in the class.
A number of reasons can be for this huge success of Vitara Brezza in such a short span of time.Without any single doubt, Vitara Brezza is one of the most muscular and bolder looking car in its segment. It is quite feature loaded as it offers equipment like Projector headlamps, 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system, cruise controls, 7 step instrument cluster illumination control, automatic ac among others.
Currently, it is powered by a 1.3 litre DDiS fiat sourced Diesel engine with option of manual as well as automatic gearbox. This gasoline motor is an good combination of fuel efficiency and performance. But this motor won’t be upgraded to BS-VI.
And Maruti will soon introduce a facelift of Vitara Brezza and for the first tune a major upgrade would be there for Vitara Brezza as since its launch, it has got only minor changes.Vitara Brezza facelift 2020 will come with slew of exterior and interior changes as well as new features add on as well. The 1.3 L Diesel engine will pave way for 1.5 L petrol engine which also already powers number of Maruti cars.
The facelifted variant of Vitara Brezza would be launched at Auto Expo 2020 and the price are expected to be similar to the diesel derivative of the current Vitara Brezza.
Speaking on the success of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director (Marketing and Sales), Maruti Suzuki, said, “Offering a complete package of class leading features, stylish design, and outstanding fuel efficiency, the most awarded compact SUV, Vitara Brezza gained immense popularity within months of its launch.
