Maruti Vitara Brezza is going to complete its 4 years in the market in the month of March 2020.But even before the completion of its 4 years of launch, the compact SUV has been breaking a number of records and recently also crossed 5,00,000 sales mark and that too just in a matter of 47 months.
Within its life span, it has got a number of additions but for the first time, it will be getting a major update where changes would be made on interior and exterior front and there will be new features on offer as well.
Talking about the changes, first of all, the projector headlamps gets replaced by the LED projector unit.The single slat chrome front grille now looks much more premium as it gives way to two slot chrome lines.Fog lamp housing grows much bigger and gets itself rid of turn indicators.Also what adds to the stylish and bold looks of this new model, is big size faux skid plates which will be seen both on front and rear bumpers.Sides remain untouched except from the wheels which is tweaked a bit and looks much more stylish.At the rear, apart from the bumpers, the tail lamps will have more LED element in it.
The cabin of Vitara Brezza Facelift 2020 will be getting all new seat upholstery.The old touchscreen infotainment system will pave way for new smartly studio touchscreen infotainment system while the instrument cluster is expected to be more informative this time.
No changes would be made in the dimensions and it will be continue to be underpinned by TECT body structure since it is a facelift and not a generation update.
The 1.3 litre DDiS Diesel engine which is currently the sole engine powering the compact SUV with option of manual and automatic will be discountinued and won’t be updated to meet the. Bharat Stage 6 standards.This unit produces 89 BHP @ 4000 RPM and 220 NM @ 1750 RPM.The claimed fuel efficiency is 24.29 kmpl.The 1.5 litre K-Series Smart Hybrid petrol engine will now be under the hood of Vitara Brezza Facelift and is expected to churn mileage close to 19 kmpl.This unit will be derived from Ertiga, XL6 and Ciaz and is capable of making 103 BHP @ 6000 RPM and 138 NM @ 4400 RPM.
Variant wise features would also be shuffled.While some more features will be making way to Vitara Brezza facelift as well like wireless charging, LED projector headlamps, LED fog lamps, power folding ORVM, auto dimming iRVM.Two new exterior will be on offer including Sizzling Red and Torque Blue.Dual tone paint schemes will be in three options – Torque Blue with black roof, Sizzling Red with Black roof and granite Grey with orange contrasting roof.
Maruti Vitara Brezza facelift will be unveiled in India at the second day of Auto Expo 2020 which will begin on February 5 2020.On the same date, that is, February 6, new generation Creta is also slated to be unveiled.
The launch of Brezza facelift will take place a few days after the unveil at the auto expo 2020.After the launch, Brezza facelift will take on the likes of Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon Facelift, Mahindra XUV300, Honda WR-V and Ford Ecosport.
