Later this year, Maruti is set to introduce a seven-seater version of its Grand Vitara, internally designated Y17. This flagship SUV is probably going to have a strong and mild hybrid version that can be derived from Toyota and will probably have several of its functions shared with its Toyota sibling.
The upcoming Grand Vitara (codenamed Y17), which will seat seven people, is expected to have a striking and aggressive front and rear bumper. Larger sets of alloy wheels, newly designed bumpers, and a new set of LED settings up front will likely be added to this car, along with newly designed connected taillights at the back. It stands out from other SUVs in the class owing to its superb road presence and stunning design. The cabin should be more sumptuous and feature a panoramic sunroof, ADAS technology, and several connected car features, just like the Grand Vitara that is now on sale.
Under the hood, there will likely be a 1.5-liter petrol engine that is connected to a strong and mild hybrid setup. The strong hybrid is most likely going to feature a 1.5-liter, 3-cylinder petrol engine, while the mild- hybrid will most likely have a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder engine. The Dual Jet VVT system will probably still be available for the Standard variant, although at a lower and mid-spec level. A 5-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic, and an e-cvt are the three transmission options available to buyers.
