MG Motors has launched the Comet EV in India and has created it’s own category and doesn’t have any direct rivals but the closest competitors it has is the Tata Tiago EV and Citroen eC3, so let’s compare to see which EV is better for you to buy!

However, the Comet EV has a height of 1640mm which is 104mm more than the Tiago EV, and 54mm more than the eC3.

As you can see, the Comet EV is powered by 17.3 kWh battery pack that puts out 40.41 bhp and 110 Nm of torque and offers a maximum claimed range of 230 km and takes 5 hours to charge from 10 – 80% and 7 hours to charge from 0 – 100%. The Comet EV has a top speed of 100 kmph. The Tiago EV is powered by 24 kWh battery pack that puts out 73.75 bhp and 114 Nm of torque with maximum claimed range of 315 km and takes 6 hours 50 minutes to charge from 10 – 100%. The MG Comet EV is available in one variant only and is priced at Rs. 8.31 lakh while the Tata Tiago EV is priced at Rs. 9.05 lakh for the XE base variant and goes up to Rs. 12.59 lakh for the XZ+ Tech LUX Fast Charging variant, and the Citroen eC3 is priced at Rs. 12.07 lakh for the Live variant and goes up to Rs. 13.39 lakh for the Feel Dual-tone variant.

In the end, the MG Comet EV is it’s own category focused mainly for City rides and the Tiago EV and eC3 are long journey type EVs with comfort and better practicality.
