MG eZS Electric will come with a range of 350 km and it directly rivals XUV300 and Hyundai Styx EV
MG Motors will be bringing their first car in India in June 2019 in the form of Hector.This massive SUV will be priced between Rs. 15 Lakhs and Rs. 20 Lakhs.Not only the Hector is coming this year but as per the latest reports, MG has confirmed to launch it’s compact SUV electric vehicle, named eZS by October 2019.
This electric SUV will compete directly with the likes of XUV300 EV which will come in 250 km and 400 km range and also with Hyundai Styx EV.The range of MG ZS EV will be between 250 km and 250 km depending upon the variant you choose.The latter variant will a long range version which will be slightly pricier than the short range one.
Prices of 2019 MG eZS compact SUV will be more than Rs. 20 Lakhs in India.At similar price bracket, Mahindra will also be bringing their electric version of XUV300 in the second half of 2020.Also Hyundai Kona EV is launching in August this year at the price tag of Rs. 22 Lakhs.
MG eZS in India will be a CBU and after a year of it’s launch, MG will locally assemble it in it’s Halol plant in Gujarat.This electric compact SUV was also showcased at 2019 Guangzhou Motor show.In terms of design, it will be exactly similar to MG ZS SUV.In India, it will be sold through 100 dealerships which will be setup throughout the country.
The second half of 2019 will be very interesting as a number of electric vehicles are coming to India.The list of upcoming EVs includes Hyundai Kona, Maruti Suzuki Wagon R EV, Tata Tigor EV, Nissan Leaf and MG eZS Electric.
