MG eZS(Kona EV Rival) Launch Preponed in India From January 27 to January 23

After the huge success of Hector SUV in India, Morris Garages had a dream debut in India.Now after that, their second car for the market which is scheduled to be launched in the country in the month of January 2020 is a pure electric SUV.

The launch of the pure electric MG ZS SUV has been confirmed for January 23, 2020.Also the official bookings for the second SUV by the carmakers were already underway at a token sum of Rs. 50,000 since December 21 and those customers who have booked the eZS till January 17, will be to buy the EV SUV at a special introductory price which will be revealed at the launch on January 23.At the time of launch, the electric SUV by Morris Garages will be available in five cities which includes Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad.

The eZS SUV comes in a total of two variant options – Excite and Exclusive.Top Features of base Excite variant are 17 inch machined alloys, LED DRLs, Push start stop button with smart keyless entry, cruise controls, automatic headlamps, 6 airbags, electronic parking brake, hill start assist, hill descent control, driving modes, tyre pressure monitoring system, android auto and Apple Carplay while the top spec Exclusive trim additionally offers 6 way powered driver side seat, and heated outside rear view mirrors.Along with this, ZS EV also offers connected car technology similar to that seen on Hector, PM2.5 air filter and dual pane sunroof.

Powering the ZS EV is a single electric motor drawing power from 44.5kWh battery which is capable of putting out 143 PS of power and 350 NM of maximum torque.The battery pack of ZS EV is IP67 rated.The ZS EV supports fast charging which will juice up 80% of battery from zero in under an hour and these fast chargers have been installed at a number of MG dealerships.While it can also be fully charged via the 7.4kWh wall box charger in around 6-8 hours.

The ZS electric will offer a range of 340 km on a full battery charge.MG eZS SUV has a strong body structure and has also secured a perfect 5 star rating in the Euro NCAP.The price of MG ZE EV will be slightly lesser than its rival and is expected to fall in the bracket of Rs. 23 Lakhs to Rs. 25 Lakhs in India (Ex Showroom Price).When launched, it will have a sole competitor in the form of Hyundai Kona Electric.
