The MG Gloster Facelift has been seen parked and camouflaged, revealing some subtle details ahead of its official launch later this year. This sighting hints at the upcoming changes to the model, as MG prepares to unveil the updated version.
The MG Cloud EV has been spotted alongside the Gloster Facelift, both vehicles camouflaged. MG has begun teasing the Cloud EV, which is set to be launched in September 2024. This preview gives a glimpse of what’s to come with their new electric vehicle offering.

MG Windsor EV
The MG Windsor EV (official name for MG Cloud EV) features a minimalist, futuristic design with sleek lines, flush door handles, and full-width LED light bars. Integrated headlamps and a radar module enhance its ADAS Level 2 capabilities. Inside, the minimalist theme continues with an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.1-inch floating infotainment system, and a 15.6-inch central control screen powered by LingOS 2.0. Comfort features include front ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, powered front seats, and dual-zone climate control. Safety is ensured with six airbags and advanced braking systems. A unique “Sofa Mode” allows front seats to recline fully for relaxation.
The Windsor EV, also known as the Wuling Cloud EV abroad, offers two battery options: a 37.9kWh pack with a 360 KM range and a 50.6kWh pack with a 460 KM range, both powered by a 132 BHP motor. Expected to launch in India by September 2024 with a starting price around Rs. 20 lakhs, it will compete with models like the Tata Nexon EV, Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Curvv EV, and Maruti eVX, positioned below the ZS EV in MG’s lineup as a CUV.
MG Gloster Facelift
Toyota’s Fortuner has dominated the full-size SUV market, but the facelifted MG Gloster is set to compete strongly with significant updates. The facelifted Gloster measures 5214 mm in length, 2016 mm in width, and 1876 mm in height—about 500 mm longer than the Fortuner. Design highlights include a massive grille, vertical LED elements, slim LED DRLs, tri-cube LED headlights, and new 19-20 inch wheels.
Inside, the Gloster features a new infotainment system, redesigned dashboard, rotary dials for drive modes and 4×4 selection, slimmer AC vents, and a new steering wheel.
Engine options:
- 2.2 L Single Turbo Diesel: 159 BHP, 373.5 NM torque
- 2.2 L Twin-Turbo Diesel: 213 BHP, 478.5 NM torque
Both engines come with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and mileage of 12-14 KMPL.
Key features include heated and ventilated seats, Level 2 ADAS, a digital instrument cluster, 3-zone climate control, 360-degree camera, powered seats, 12-speaker sound system, automatic tailgate, 7 terrain modes, heated ORVMs, electro-mechanical differential lock, electric parking brake with auto-hold, and a driver fatigue reminder system.
MG Gloster Facelift is anticipated to launch near the end of 2024 at an expected starting price of Rs. 40 lakhs.
