MG Motors India has made substantial reductions in the prices of both the Hector, and Hector Plus by Rs. 1.26 Lakh and Rs. 1.37 Lakh respectively. This move was likely made as a response to the slow sales of this model compared to its rivals.
MG Motor India has huge reductions in the prices of both the Hector and Hector Plus SUVs. The Hector’s prices have been reduced by up to Rs 1.29 lakh, while the Hector Plus sees a price drop of up to Rs 1.37 lakh. Notably, the diesel versions of both SUVs have received big price cuts. This move may be in response to slow sales, as the combined monthly sales of both SUVs have been around 2,000 units. In contrast, segment leaders like the Mahindra XUV700 and Scorpio N are consistently selling over 6,000 units per month on average.
Following the price revision, the MG Hector is now available at a price range of Rs 14.73 lakh to Rs 21.73 lakh (ex-showroom). The base petrol variant has seen a minimum price reduction of Rs 27,000, while the top-end variant enjoys a price cut of up to Rs 66,000. However, the most significant price drops are observed in the diesel variants, with reductions ranging from Rs 86,000 to Rs 1.29 lakh. Below is the updated pricing of all the Hector variants –

Just like the 5 Seater Hector, the 7 Seater Hector Plus sees similar price reductions especially the petrol variants which are now more affordable by Rs. 81,000. As for the diesel variants, all of them see price drop ranging between Rs. 1.04 Lakh and Rs. 1.37 Lakh. Consequently, the Hector Plus SUV is now priced between Rs. 17.50 Lakh – Rs. 22.43 Lakh.
