MG Hector Plus will be the third car by the carmakers for the Indian market
MG Motor India have commenced the bookings for the Hector Plus and the token amount for the same is Rs. 50,000. It will be the third product by Morris Garages for the domestic market.
The official bookings of MG Hector Plus have begun. One can book MG Hector Plus at a token sum of Rs. 50,000 at https://www.mgmotor.co.in/tools/ebooking or may visit the MG dealership and pay the booking amount there.
MG Hector Plus will be offered with the same set of engine options like the 5 seater Hector but the difference comes in gearbox options between those powertrains.
The Diesel engine will be 2.0-litre unit with 6 speed manual gearbox which is capable of churning 168 BHP and 350 NM of peak torque. Mileage is expected to be around 17 kmpl.
1.5-litre turbo petrol engine will be offered just with 6 speed DCT and not with manual gearbox which is on offer for the Hector. Power and torque figures are 141 BHP and 250 NM.
1.5-litre petrol engine with 48V battery has 6 speed manual transmission with the same numbers as of 1.5-litre petrol but with enhanced mileage figures.

MG Hector Plus will come in three variants – Super, Smart and Sharp missing out on Style trim. 2.0-litre engine will be available across all the trims while 1.5-litre turbo petrol with DCT will be limited to Smart and Sharp and 1.5-litre petrol with 48 V hybrid only available in top end Sharp variant.

There will be a total of 6 single tone colour options – Starry Sky Blue, Glaze Red, Burgundy Red, Starry Black, Candy White and Aurora Silver. The availability of these paints will vary from variant to variant.
MG Hector Plus will have the same set of features and equipments as of Hector as the top model boasts TPMS, 6 airbags, powered front seats, panoramic sunroof, 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Infinity sound system, leather seat, 360 degree camera, heated ORVMs, 8 colour ambient lighting.
MG Hector plus has swipe function for the tailgate which is becoming common these days.
MG Hector Plus will be priced between Rs. 14.8 and Rs. 18.8 Lakhs (Ex Showroom) for the top end trim. For reference, MG Hector gets a price sticker of Rs. 12.84 Lakhs and Rs. 17.89 Lakhs.
The rivals of the upcoming MG are Mahindra XUV500, Toyota Innova Crysta and Tata Gravitas.

Initially available in captain rear seat option, Morris Garages will bring the 7 seater variant of the 3-row SUV by early 2021 which is expected to be priced in the same territory as of the 6-seater.
