Sales figures for the month of June 2024 has been revealed by MG Motors, and it reports total sales of 4,644 unit sales with most sold model again being the ZS EV achieving its highest-ever monthly sales since launch.

MG Motors in June 2024 recorded domestic sales of 4,644 Units with year-on-year (YoY) growth by 8.61% from 4,276 Units of same period last year sales with 368 Units additional units sold. However, the Month-on-Month (MoM) decline is 2.62% over the May 2024 sales of 4,769 Units with drop in volumes by 125 units.

MG Motors previous month also saw an impressive performance by the ZS EV achieving sales of 1,861 units. This shows people’s interest in electric vehicles (EVs) within the Indian market. New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) has significant impact on the overall sales of MG as it accounts to 40% of total sales in June 2024. MG will be keen keeping this numbers growing, and hence later this year, they’re launching a new Cloud EV which will be positioned below the ZS EV in line-up.
Despite the rising popularity of NEVs, Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles continue to dominate the market. With 2,783 units sold, ICE vehicles represented 59.93 percent of total sales. While the demand for EVs vehicles is growing, ICE vehicles remain crucial in meeting the varied preferences and needs of customers in the automotive sector. MG Motors will also be giving its ICE SUV a major facelift update which is set for launch later this year. It’s the Gloster Facelift which will be getting this big update to have a strong competitive hold over its rival in the segment.
