MG Motors has been spied testing the Cloud Electric SUV in India with launch expected to take place later this year. Here’s everything you need to about the Nexon EV-rival, Cloud EV!
MG’s upcoming Cloud EV is based on the Wuling Cloud EV sold in Indonesia, expected to hit the road later this year. The Cloud EV appears as an MPV, but still its restricted to 5 Seater configuration only as it measures approximately 4.3 Meters in Length while boasting Wheelbase of 2,700 MM. The EV boasts a sleek, minimalist design featuring flush door handles, simple body, and full-width LED light bars both at the front and rear. Its distinctive front-end design, with headlamps integrated into the bumper, sets it apart with a unique aesthetic.
Moreover, there’s Radar Module on lower air intake for ADAS with Level 2 Capabilities.

Inside, the minimalist theme persists. As an EV, it benefits from smart interior packaging, providing ample space. The dashboard is highlighted by a large touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster. The front seats can be fully reclined, creating a “sofa mode” with a 135-degree backrest recline.
Internationally, it gets two battery pack options – 37.9 kWh with 360 KM Range and 50.6 kWh with 460 KM Range. It comes powered by a single-motor mounted at front axle.
Expect features like ventilated front seats, powered front seats, sunroof, Wireless Charging Pad, 6 Airbags, Electric Parking Brake with Auto Hold, among many features.
It’s expected to launch by this year end.
