Hyundai Motors India surprisingly launched the new i20 in India with cosmetic changes, improved safety, and some new comfort and convenience features!

New Hyundai i20 – What you need to know!

The new Hyundai i20 comes with exterior change like the 2D logo at the chin of the bonnet, new parametric front grille design, new LED headlamps with Signature LED DRLs, new front and rear bumper, slight changes in 16-inch alloy wheels, updated rear profile, and much more. The interiors now get refreshed new dual-tone grey and black theme, new D-Cut Steering wheel, leatherette application door armrest, and USB Type-C Charging Port.

The new i20 now comes with 40+ safety features, out of which 26 safety features are standard and some of those features are 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Assist Control (HAC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), 3-point seat belt, seatbelt reminder for all seats, and ABS with EBD. The South Korean manufacturer noted that the new i20 comes with 23 new features focused towards the comfort and convenience of the driver and passengers.

Additionally, the new i20 now will be available with only one petrol engine and that is the 1.2 L Kappa Petrol with Idle Stop and Go (ISG) system. This engine produce 81.80 BHP and 114.74 NM of torque paired to 5 Speed Manual and IVT Gearbox. The 1.0 L Turbo Petrol Engine that produced 118.41 BHP and 172 NM of torque mated to 7 Speed DCT has been discontinued. As for the color options, it’s available with 6 Monotone Colors – Fiery Red, Atlas White, Titan Grey, Typhoon Silver, Starry Night, and the new Amazon Grey Color; and two Dual-tone colors.

Other highlights includes ambient sound experience with 7 nature-inspired soundscapes, burglar alarm, Tyre-Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Highline, 60+ connected car features, 127 Embedded VR commands, 52 Hinglish Voice Commands, 10 Regional and 2 International Language Support, and Over-the-air updates. Hyundai i20 has been priced at Rs. 6.99 L and goes up to Rs. 11.01 L for the top variant. Here’s the price for all the variants –
