Mercedes-Benz has launched the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe Facelift at Rs. 1.85 Crore without options, but as per Mercedes, the prices with options can go as high as Rs. 2.25 Crore.
The Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe Facelift appears to be the same as its predecessor like it comes with a 3.0 L 6 Cylinder Turbo Petrol engine producing 429.05 BHP and 560 NM of torque sending power to all four wheels via a 9 Speed Automatic Gearbox along with 4MATIC+ All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) System. However, the engine is now paired to new 48V Mild-Hybrid System that provides an additional 19 BHP and 200 NM when needed like when you want to overtake someone.

This has significantly reduced the acceleration time of 0 – 100 KMPH by 0.3 Seconds compared to the pre-facelift version, achieving a new time of 5 Seconds. However, the top speed of 250 KMPH still remains limited. Visually, the GLE 53 Coupe Facelift may look the same as before, but as you observe the SUV closely, it reveals redesigned LED headlamps, tail-lamps, and subtle tweaks to the front bumper. Interior changes include a new steering wheel crafted from a combination of leather and Alcantara.The cabin however, largely remains the same as seen on the refreshed GLE launched late last year. Notable highlights consist of a customisable Heads-Up Display (HUD), additional control buttons on the steering wheel, and Ventilated & Heated Front Seats with Lumbar support. Optional Accessories include AMG Track Pace software for track enthusiasts, the Acoustic Comfort Package enhancing sound insulation, and AMG’s high-performance braking system. The GLE 53 Coupe Facelift gets 360 Surround View Camera, 9 Airbags, Blind Spot Assist, and many other safety features are standard. For now, the SUV has no direct rivals in the segment, and only closest competitor it may get is the Porsche Cayenne Coupe which comes powered with a Turbo Petrol V6 Engine.
