Land Rover India launched the all-new 2024 Range Rover Velar at Rs. 94.30 Lakh. With this launch, it marks the completion of the transition to the latest generation of cars in their line-up.
The new 2024 Velar is basically a facelift update for this SUV, featuring a host of enhancements both on the outside and inside. This update arrives at an opportune moment, coinciding with a incredible 209 percent increase in sales for the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and Defender models during the first quarter of 2023. The Velar originally introduced Range Rover’s contemporary design language and has now received its own updates to align with the broader portfolio.
The Velar Dynamic HSE’s exterior embraces a sharper and more contemporary design ethos. It prominently features a brand-new pixel LED headlamp setup with their signature LED DRLs, along with a sleek black contrast roof. The front fascia has also been revamped to mirror the design cues of its larger siblings. Additionally, it gets copper-colored inserts on the hood plaques and fender plaques, setting it apart from its predecessor. The new Velar HSE boasts 20-inch alloy wheels with a fresh design and a grey finish.
Inside the 2023 Velar HSE is where the most updates have been concentrated. The interior now exhibits a more minimalist approach, reducing the number of physical buttons and touchpoints compared to the previous model. Then there is the new 11.4-inch HD Infotainment System, complemented by the digital instrument cluster. As for other features, the Velar comes equipped with 20-way massage front seats featuring heating and cooling functions.
It also offers air purification, a four-zone climate control system, wireless charging, high-quality Meridian sound system, Wade Sensing, Heated Electric, Power Fold Door Mirrors, Adaptive Dynamics, Electronic Air Suspension, Rear Power Recline, and many more.
Under the hood, the Range Rover Velar HSE provides an option between a 2.0-liter turbo petrol and turbo diesel engine. The turbo petrol engine generates 246.74 BHP and 365 NM mated to an 8 Speed Automatic Gearbox, and the turbo diesel engine generates 273.56 BHP and 430 NM of torque. The 2024 Velar HSE is available in four exterior colors – Zadar Grey, Varesine Blue, Fuji White, and Santorini Black, and two interior colors – Deep Garnet / Ebony, and Caraway / Ebony.
