Last Week, Tata had unveiled the Punch.ev, but now we’ve confirmed the launch date, January 17th. This will be fourth EV in their line-up with bookings already underway at a token amount of Rs. 21,000.
Tata Punch.ev – Exterior!
The front profile features connected LED DRLs, vertically-positioned LED headlamps, skid plates for bumper, rugged front look, and importantly, it gets front-mounted charging port which is just belw the light bar where Tata logo is. The side profile looks slightly different than the ICE version like .ev badging next to wheel arches and new aero-efficient wheel design for the 16-inch alloy wheels. The rear profile looks the same as ICE, X-shape LED taillamps, punch.ev badging, little creases, and that’s all. Notably, you get front frunk (front boot space).

Tata Punch.ev – Interior, and Features!
Jumping inside, the layout looks similar to the Nexon.ev like it gets new free-standing 10.25-inch Harman HD Infotainment System, and 10.25-inch Fully Digital Instrument Cluster with Navigation maps as well. The centre console has been updated with the addition of electric parking brake with auto hold function, a jeweled rotary dial for gear shifter, and new HVAC control panel with toggle switches and haptic feedback that is very similar to the Nexon.ev.
Moving to the features, the new Punch EV gets 360 Surround View Camera, Front Ventilated Seats, Front and Rear Parking Sensors, Electric Parking Brake with Auto Hold, two 10.25-inch displays, Disc Brakes for All Wheels, Multiple Voice Assistants – Alexa, Tata, and Siri, Air Purifier, new Arcade.ev App, Sunroof, Wireless Charging Pad, and so much more.
Tata Punch.ev – Battery Pack, Rivals, and Price!
The technical details of the EV aren’t revealed just yet, but we its getting two trims – Standard, and Long Range with expected battery pack somewhere between 25 – 35 kWh with range around 300 – 500 KMs. It gets two charger options – 3.3 kW AC Charger, and 7.2 kW Charger for Long Range version with support for DC fast charging.
The Punch.ev will be positioned above the Tiago.ev and is expected to be priced from Rs. 10 Lakhs to Rs. 13 Lakhs, and on its launch, it’ll compete with the likes of Citroen eC3.
