Bajaj has launched a new variant for their electric scooter, Chetak which delivers 123 KM Range on Single Charge. Bookings are opened on their website with deliveries beginning from June 15th.
Bajaj has introduced a new variant for Chetak, Chetak 2901, which is available in 5 Colour Schemes – Red, Yellow, White, Lime Yellow, and Azure Blue. The new trim comes equipped with additional features such as coloured digital cluster, tubeless tyres alloy wheels, Bluetooth connectivity, etc. Using the TecPac, customers can choose to upgrade these features. The TecPac enables features such as Hill Hold Assist, Reverse, Sport & Economy Mode, Call & Music Control, Follow Me Home Lights, and Bluetooth Connectivity.

Bajaj now offers the Chetak in three variants – Urbane, Premium, and 2901. The Premium is the most expensive trim in the line-up while the 2901 is the affordable trim. The Urbane and Premium are equipped with 2.9 kWh and 3.2 kWh battery packs while range is 113 km and 126 km, respectively. Both scooters have a top speed of 73 KMPH. However, the 2901 trim is equipped with 2.88 kWh Battery with Top Speed restricted to 63 KMPH.
Here’s what Mr. Eric Vas, President, Urbanite, Bajaj Auto Ltd, had to comment, “We are pleased to announce the start of shipments of Chetak 2901 to Chetak dealerships. The Chetak 2901 is designed, specced and priced to attract customers who are currently purchasing a petrol scooter to a proper full size metal body electric scooter that can match and exceed a petrol scooter, without denting their wallet.
The Chetak 2901 can be had for an on-road price close to that of a petrol scooter and comes with more than 123 KMs of ARAI certified range. Retails to consumers shall start from 15 June onwards. We believe Chetak 2901 shall dramatically expand the electric scooter market.”
Bajaj launched the new Chetak 2901 trim at Rs. 95,998.
