Honda is working the next generation update of the sub 4 meter sedan, Amaze, and it’s expected to pack features similar as the superior sedan, City. We’ll breakdown all the details we know about the upcoming sedan so far!
New Honda Amaze: What you need to know!
The upcoming next-gen Honda Amaze is being built on the Honda’s ACE platform which underpins the City Sedan, and it’ll likely adopt the same design language as well, and could have some similarity to Accord that is sold internationally. Notably, the second-gen Amaze was inspired by the Accord at that time, and similar approach could be taken as well for the third-gen model like new grille with hexagonal-like pattern, thinner LED DRLs within the LED headlamp unit which would be sleeker, and the bumpers little aggressive than the outgoing version.
From the inside, however, we expect the interiors to undergo new design layout, possibly could feature a free-standing touchscreen 8-inch infotainment system, similar to the Accord. Although it’s possible the interior layout could be similar to the City as well, at the moment, it’s expected. Also, Amaze is rumored to be equipped with ADAS or it could be mild ADAS with features like forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and more.
When to comes to Engine Options, the current-gen Amaze comes with only one petrol engine. The 1.5 L 4 Cylinder Petrol Engine generating 79.12 BHP and 160 NM of torque paired to 5 Speed MT, and 7 Speed CVT. Previously, it used to get diesel engine, but Honda discontinued offering diesel in any of its model, and only offers Petrol powered engines only. It remains to be seen, if they decide to offer CNG fuel option in the future.
Honda Amaze 2024 launch timeline at the moment is unknown, but if the word is out of Honda working on the next-gen of the Amaze, we can expect them to launch it in the mid to late 2024.
