Honda is gearing up for the launch of the new-generation update for its affordable sedan, the Amaze, focusing on significant cosmetic enhancements, interior refinements, and the addition of new features.

The upcoming new-generation update of the Amaze is currently in development and it’s expected for release during the festive season. Utilizing the ACE platform, which it shares with the City and the Elevate, the new Amaze is expected to draw design inspiration from either the City or potentially the international Accord model. Following the example of the second-generation Amaze, which incorporated elements from the Accord, the third-generation model might showcase a refreshed grille featuring a hexagonal-like pattern, slimmer LED headlamps with sleeker DRLs, and enhanced bumper designs for a more aggressive aesthetic.

Internally, a fresh design layout is anticipated, possibly incorporating a free-standing 8-inch infotainment system akin to the Accord. While similarities to the City’s interior layout are also plausible, specifics remain speculative for now.

In terms of engine options, while the current-gen Amaze Petrol engine will continue to power the next-gen Amaze. The 1.2 L 4 Cylinder Petrol Engine producing 88.50 BHP and 110 NM of torque mated to a 5 Speed MT and 7 Speed CVT. However, the new Amaze won’t feature a diesel engine variant, although there’s speculation that Honda might introduce a CNG option for improved fuel efficiency.
Expect a plethora of new features debuting with the upcoming Amaze, including an upgraded 8-inch infotainment system, a single-pane sunroof, a wireless charging pad, LED headlamps, and LED fog lamps. The possibility of connected LED tail-lamps remains uncertain. Safety enhancements are abundant, featuring 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Hill Assist, TPMS, and the standout feature, ADAS, encompassing Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, among others, albeit without Adaptive Cruise Control.
The new Honda Amaze will enter competition with rivals such as the Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor, and the forthcoming next-generation Maruti Dzire.
