Hyundai is gearing up for the highly anticipated debut of the Creta EV at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The Hyundai Creta EV retains the familiar design cues of its ICE counterpart but introduces several EV-specific updates. Spy shots have revealed a closed-off grille, redesigned front and rear bumpers, and aerodynamic alloy wheels for improved efficiency. While the LED headlamps and taillights closely resemble the regular Creta, the overall look has been modernized to enhance its aerodynamic appeal.
Inside the cabin, the Creta EV will feature a dual-screen setup comprising a 10.25-inch infotainment display and a matching digital instrument cluster. Additional updates include a redesigned steering wheel, a column-mounted drive mode selector, and sustainable materials that align with its eco-friendly focus. Hyundai has also sourced the HVAC controls from the Alcazar, ensuring a familiar and user-friendly interface.
Under the hood, the Creta EV is likely to come with a 45kWh battery pack paired with a front-mounted electric motor. The setup is expected to deliver 136bhp and 255Nm of torque, offering a range of over 450 km on a full charge. The electric SUV will also support DC fast charging, making it suitable for both daily commutes and long trips. Hyundai may also introduce dual-motor variants for enhanced performance and capability.
The Creta EV will pack same features as its ICE Counterpart such as front ventilated seats, powered driver seat, panoramic sunroof, Bose Sound System, Dual 10.25-inch Displays, and so on. Safety-wise, it’ll be equipped with Level 2 ADAS, 360 Surround view Camera, Disc Brakes for All Wheels, 6 Airbags, Hill Start Assist, Front & Rear parking sensors, etc. However, the EV is expected to introduce new features like heated seats, powered tailgate, one touch up/down for all windows, and more functions for the ADAS!
With the Hyundai Creta EV, the brand is not only leveraging the success of its ICE Creta but also aiming to dominate the growing electric SUV market in India. Boasting a stylish design, advanced features, and a competitive range, the Creta EV is poised to become a strong contender in the EV segment. Its pricing strategy and sustainable features will further enhance its appeal, making it a significant launch to watch in 2025.
