The recently-launched New Hyundai Alcazar just got a new rival in the form of the Dacia Bigster SUV which upon its way to India will be known as Renault Bigster.

Powertrain Options

  1. Mild-Hybrid 1.2L Turbo-Petrol: This version features a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that generates 138 bhp and is paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. A 6-speed manual transmission sends power to the front wheels, and an optional all-wheel-drive system is also available. The AWD version offers driving modes like Snow, Mud/Sand, Off-Road, Normal, Eco, and hill descent control.
  2. Hybrid 155: This is the most powerful option for the Bigster, combining a 106 bhp petrol engine with two electric motors that together produce 153 bhp. The hybrid system includes a 1.4 kWh battery, and the power is sent to the front wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission for the petrol engine and a 2-speed automatic for the electric motor.
  3. Dual-Fuel LPG Variant: The Bigster also offers a dual-fuel option with LPG and petrol. The 1.2-litre engine, also with mild-hybrid assistance, produces 138 bhp. This variant boasts an impressive range of up to 1,450 km between refuels, thanks to its 50-litre petrol tank and 49-litre LPG tank.
