The new Toyota Camry is all set to launch the 9th generation version in India next year. It’s built on the TNGA-K platform while also having the sole 2.5 L Petrol Hybrid engine with All-Wheel-drive [AWD] powertrain.
The 2025 Toyota Camry embraces a new, dynamic design that blends familiar elements with fresh styling cues, giving it a more aggressive edge. Up front, its headlights incorporate design features seen on Toyota’s Crown and Prius models, creating a striking look alongside a prominent, sculpted front bumper. While the profile stays true to the Camry’s established aesthetic, the rear introduces updated taillights that feel modern yet comfortably familiar.
Inside, the Camry showcases noticeable upgrades inspired by Toyota’s Crown model, enhancing its premium feel. The layout centers around a slightly elevated center console that wraps gracefully around the passenger side. Seating remains spacious, with ample headroom—a nod to comfort over the Crown’s cozier confines. Tech-wise, it features wireless charging and five USB ports accessible from both rows. Higher trims get 12.3-inch dual display boosting in-cabin functionality.
The new Camry when revealed last year dropped the V6 Engine and went full hybrid, and so it’s possible, India may get the same powertrain as well. Here’s the specifications for them –
India will only get the All-Wheel-Drive [AWD] powertrain variant.
Toyota plans to debut the vehicle at the Bharat Mobility Show, with production taking place in India, just like its predecessor. The Camry will once again be available solely as a strong hybrid, continuing to prioritize backseat comfort, fuel efficiency, and dependability as its main selling points. It’s expected to launch in early 2025, so most probably before March.
