Honda Cars India is gearing up to launch the third-generation 2024 Honda Amaze, set to hit the market on December 4. The new Amaze promises a complete redesign with several upgraded features, making it a standout in the sub-4 meter sedan segment. With bold design changes, an advanced tech-laden interior, and significant safety improvements, the 2024 Amaze is set to offer more than just a facelift—it’s a generational upgrade.
The 2024 Honda Amaze showcases a fresh, contemporary look that draws inspiration from its bigger siblings, the Honda City and Elevate. Up front, the sedan features a striking, larger grille with a sleek honeycomb pattern and newly designed LED headlamps with integrated Daytime Running Lights (DRLs). A refined clamshell bonnet, a new connected chrome strip above the grille, and a redesigned front bumper give the 2024 Amaze a more premium feel.
The rear also gets a significant overhaul, with a new bumper and the addition of LED tail lamps. While the rear design shares similarities with the Honda City, it gets distinct vertical brake light slats, offering a fresh twist on the familiar look. The 2024 Amaze also incorporates a shark fin antenna, new alloy wheels, and a reverse camera for improved functionality and visual appeal.
Seen in new blue paint (Obsidian Blue Pearl), the exterior upgrades make the Amaze look more modern, premium, and refined, enhancing its road presence.
Inside, the 2024 Amaze has been completely revamped for a more sophisticated, user-friendly experience. Borrowing elements from the Honda Elevate, the new dashboard layout is sleek and modern, featuring a vertical divider that houses the AC vents. The cabin retains the classic black and beige color theme but adds soft-touch materials on the door armrests for added comfort.
The 2024 Amaze is equipped with a range of advanced tech features, including an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A semi-digital instrument cluster adds to the modern aesthetic, while the higher trims offer premium touches like a dual-tone interior scheme and new upholstery for a more upscale feel. Comfort features like automatic air conditioning and rear AC vents further enhance the driving experience.
In a first for this segment, the 2024 Amaze will offer Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), making it the first sub-compact sedan in India to do so. ADAS includes features like lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and autonomous emergency braking, ensuring a safer driving experience. However, a 360-degree camera system will not be available in the Amaze.
Under the hood, the 2024 Honda Amaze retains the familiar 1.2-liter, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine, delivering 90 hp and 110 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic gearbox, offering buyers a choice between a more engaging driving experience or smoother, more fuel-efficient performance.
In line with Honda’s decision to phase out diesel engines in India, the 2024 Amaze will only be available with the petrol engine option. The new Amaze may also introduce a CNG variant later, catering to the growing demand for more eco-friendly fuel options in India.
Honda has placed a strong emphasis on safety with the 2024 Amaze, making it a standout in its class. The sedan will come equipped with six airbags as standard across all variants. Other key safety features include ABS with EBD, hill-hold assist, parking sensors, and a reverse camera. The ADAS suite further enhances the sedan’s safety credentials, making it one of the safest options in its segment.
The 2024 Honda Amaze is expected to be priced slightly higher than the outgoing model, which currently ranges from Rs 7.3 lakh to Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will compete with popular models in the segment, including the Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor. With its advanced features, bold new design, and segment-first safety technologies, the 2024 Amaze is poised to set a new benchmark in the sub-4 meter sedan market.
The 2024 Honda Amaze is more than just a facelift – it’s a complete generational upgrade that elevates the sedan’s design, features, and safety to new heights. Whether you’re looking for a stylish, tech-packed sedan or a safer driving experience, the 2024 Amaze is sure to impress with its combination of modern design, advanced features, and solid performance. Be sure to check it out when it officially launches on December 4!
