Kia has been spied again testing it’s upcoming 7-Seater Car in South Korea completely camouflaged revealing very less details. But from what we’ve seen previously, we know it’s the Carens Facelift but this particular spy shot is of the electric version of the MPV.
Kia has been spotted testing the Carens EV yet again in South Korea. Despite the camouflage, the alloy wheels design, similar to the Kia EV5 set for an August 25th debut, is noticeable. These aero-efficient wheels aim to improve range. Although what’s more noticeable is that those wheels are looking like covered with 5-spoke design which could indicate they are testing those either for ICE version or could be something else because in another spy shot, it’s not present.

The front fascia resembles the Kia EV5 with L-shaped LED DRLs within the headlamp unit connected by a thin LED light bar. The headlamps appear to be LED Projectors, with the top-spec trim possibly featuring a full LED setup. The rear profile showcases C-shaped connected LED tail-lamps and subtle changes to the front and rear bumpers.Although the spy shots don’t reveal the interiors, they are expected to resemble the Seltos with a free-standing 10.25-inch infotainment system, a new 10.25-inch fully digital cluster, and a tweaked center console and dashboard. The EV will likely offer 6 and 7-seater configurations, a panoramic sunroof on top trims, dual-zone climate control with a new control panel, and new upholstery. Additionally, an electric parking brake will replace the manual handbrake.Technical specs are yet to be revealed, but the EV is expected to feature a 45-50 kWh battery pack with a single front-axle motor for Front-Wheel-Drive (FWD), delivering a range of 450-500 km on a single charge.Feature-wise, the MPV is anticipated to include a Heads-up Display (HUD), powered co-passenger seat, 6 airbags as standard, 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, one-touch up/down for all windows, and more.
Kia is likely to launch the ICE Carens facelift in Q4 2024, with the EV version expected in the second half of 2025.
