Kia has been spied testing a new car in South Korea, and it’s none other than the Carens MPV. It’s been on sale since February 2022, but now it’ll get the facelift update sometime in 2025.
New Kia Carens Facelift Spied: All Details!
The Carens Facelift was spied cruising on the highways in South Korea. It doesn’t reveal much details since it was completely camouflaged, but still we can new C-shaped LED Tail-lamps, and the Headlamps looks similar to the newly facelifted Sonet in India. Other changes expected are new bumpers both front and rear, new alloy wheels design which are likely to be 18-inches in size, and connected LED DRLs at the front.

Spy shots however doesn’t reveal the interiors of the upcoming facelift MPV, but expect to largely look similar to the Seltos like free-standing 10.25-inch Infotainment System, new 10.25-inch digital cluster, and tweaked Centre Console and Dashboard. 6 and 7 Seator Configuration along with panoramic sunroof of top, Dual-zone climate control with new control panel to change temperatures, and new upholstery.
Kia is expected to retain its engine options for the MPV, which is the 1.5 L Turbo Petrol with 157.81 BHP and 253 NM Torque mated to 6 Speed Manual and 7 Speed DCT Gearbox; and the 1.5 L Diesel with 114 BHP and 250 NM Torque mated to 6 Speed Manual and Automatic Gearbox.
In terms of features, expect Heads-up Display (HUD), Co-Passenger Powered Seat, 6 Airbags as standard, 360 Surround View Camera, Level 2 ADAS, Panoramic Sunroof on top, among other features. Also, worth noting that the EV version is also set for launch in 2025. with likely 45 – 50 kWh battery pack mounted on front axle to offer 400+ KMs Range.
Kia and Hyundai recently signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to localise brand’s EV, and its likely Kia may use it with the Carens EV.
