Kia has been spotted multiples times testing the Syros in India revealing many new details. The SUV will boast plethora of features, transmission options, space and comfort, and so on. Let’s dive deep to understand more about the SUV!
Kia Syros Launch Soon: All Details!
Kia India has been testing the Syros SUV in India and is slated to launch near the end of 2024, or early 2025. The SUV is slated to be positioned below the Seltos but above the Sonet in Kia’s lineup upon its debut. Moreover, there’s also anticipation for an electric version of the Syros to launch in India in 2025. The latest spy images reveal significant details about this all-new SUV.
Drawing design cues from the Soul [sold internationally], the Kia Syros embodies the brand’s latest Opposites United design philosophy, both in India and abroad. In comparison to the Sonet, it promises greater practicality with a more spacious interior and generous boot volume by increasing the overall dimension of the SUV which is likely to be around 4.2 meters in length. Its exterior design showcases a tall stance, robust upright hood what appears to be an aggressive front grille, and diamond-cut 16-inch alloy wheels (although there could be an option for 17-inch wheels).
The Syros will be getting big features like Level 2 ADAS, given the front lower air intake grill can be seen with a radar module, and a camera in the windshield on top. Although the functions may be limited, like instead of 17 functions as in the Seltos, it may end up getting only 10. Other definite features include a 360 Surround View Camera, front parking sensors, standard six airbags, rear disc brakes, and possibly Hill Descent Control. Notably, it will be the second compact SUV from Kia to come with a panoramic sunroof.
Jumping to the inside, the Syros will boast a plethora of features such as seamless integrated dual 10.25-inch displays—an infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, and a Seltos-like fully digital instrument console, dual-tone dashboard, all-new 4-spoke steering wheel, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, dual-zone climate control, electric parking brake with auto hold, front ventilated seats, drive and traction modes, and more.
The engine options are expected to mirror that of the Kia Sonet, such as the 1.2 L NA Petrol, 1.0 L Turbo Petrol, and the 1.5 L Diesel engine. It’ll have multiple gearbox options: 5-speed MT, 6-speed IMT/AT/MT, and 7-speed DCT. A hybrid version is expected to arrive in the future, most probably in 2025.
