Mahindra is actively testing the upcoming XUV.e9, an electric coupe SUV expected to offer a range of 600 kilometers. Recently, the XUV.e9 was spotted undergoing tests revealing details about the SUV. Here’s a breakdown of what we know, including its anticipated launch date.
The spy shots of XUV.e9 reveals that the electric SUV will feature two huge LED DRLs positioned vertically which are seamlessly linked by a full-width light bar. Echoing the design of the XUV.e9 concept, the headlamps will sport similar lighting elements with a twin-pod layout. The distinctive cuts and contours on the bonnet mirror those of the concept SUV. The XUV.e9 is set to feature 5-spoke aero-design alloy wheels, with rear door handles situated on the C-pillar. Flush-fitting door handles on the front doors, reminiscent of the XUV700, add to the sleek profile.

While built on Mahindra’s INGLO platform, specifics regarding the powertrain remain undisclosed. However, speculation points towards an 80 kWh battery pack, promising a claimed range of 600 KM on a single charge.Inside, the XUV.e9 will feature a broad binnacle stretching across the dashboard, housing three screens. Likely configurations include an infotainment touchscreen at the center, a digital cluster on the right, and a dedicated media display for the front passenger. Additional features comprises of two-spoke steering wheel with BE logo illumination, touch-sensitive HVAC control panel, XUV700-similar centre console, panoramic sunroof on top, and more.Other than that, expect the SUV to boast amenities such as 3-zone climate control, Level 2 ADAS with more than 10 Functions, Ventilated Front Seats, Powered Tailgate, and so much more.Mahindra will be launching the XUV.e9 in April 2025, four months after the launch of the XUV.e8 in December 2024.
