Next Month, Mahindra will be launching the 5-Door Thar which will be getting tons of major upgrades over the 3-Door version. The SUV was spotted again testing on the road revealing new details.
New Mahindra Thar Armada Spied Revealing New Details!
Mahindra Thar Armada must have been spied testing on the road for like a million times slowly revealing new details. Before we reveal the new details, it’s worth noting that Mahindra hasn’t officially confirmed the nameplate, but its speculated to be “Thar Armada.” The spy shot above can be seen with tail-lamps sporting elements inside acting as stop-lamps.
The tailgate appears to be same as other spy shots except the tailgate mounted spare wheel now has a broader rectangular wheel cover. Other than that, nothing else can be spotted as its still completely camouflaged. The SUV exterior profile consists of round LED Headlamps with DRLs integrated, H-pattern grille, 19-inch alloy wheels, side footsteps to get in the SUV, squarish ORVMs, etc.
Inside it gets dual 10.25-inch screens – infotainment and for digital cockpit cluster, akin to the XUV3XO, two upholstery options – full black or full white. Air conditioning controls are managed via rotary dials, retaining similarity to the 3-door. The steering wheel similar to the XUV700’s. Moreover it gets driver armrests, a center console with storage, and front-row cupholders. Moreover, the top-spec trim will get panoramic sunroof which is just amazing.
The Thar 5 Door will get three engine options which are taken from the Scorpio-N SUV, except the output won’t be the same, it’ll be lowered down by few percentage. The 1.5 L Diesel, 2.2 L Diesel and 2.0 L Turbo Petrol Engine will be the options available with 6 Speed Manual (MT) and Automatic (AT) during launch. The 1.5 L Diesel will have the Rear-Wheel-Drive (RWD) drive-type only, while the 2.2 L Diesel and 2.0 L Turbo Petrol will sport RWD and 4-Wheel-Drive (4WD) options.
The Thar Armada will be most feature-loaded in the segment like ADAS, 360 Surround View Camera, Front Ventilated Seats, Rear AC Vents, Hill Descent Control, Wireless Charging Pad, Electric Parking Brake with Auto Hold, 6 Airbags as standard, Disc Brakes for all Wheels, and so much more.
Mahindra is expected to be launching the Thar Armada on August 15th, 2024.
