Tata Motors have now officially confirmed the launch date for it’s first-ever Coupe SUV, and first-ever in the segment. The SUV will be available in three powertrains – Petrol, Diesel, and Electric with CNG Options on Cards as well.
The new Coupe SUV from Tata, Curvv will launch on August 7th, 2024. Tata Curvv which will be available in three forms – Petrol, Diesel, and Electric will launch on same prior date. Design highlights of the SUV includes coupe roofline, 18-inch alloy wheels, vertically-split dual LED headlamps, connected tail-lamps and front DRLs, fog lamp housings on bumpers, and grille with black finish and chrome inserts.
Interiors resemble the Nexon, but it looks upgraded over it such as new 12.3-inch Infotainment System, 4-spoke logo illumination steering wheel, same as the one in Harrier and Safari, behind it is the 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Cluster, touch-sensitive HVAC Panel, round dial for drive modes behind the steptronic gear lever, electronic parking brake replacing manual handbrake, and dual-pane sunroof on top.
Tata Curvv wil get two engine options – 1.2 L Turbo Petrol producing 123.29 BHP and 225 NM Torque and its likely gearbox choices would be the 6 Speed Manual, and 7 Speed DCT Gearbox. Second option is the 1.5 L Diesel Engine taken from the Nexon, and will therefore have the same 113.31 BHP Power and 260 NM Torque mated to 6 Speed Manual and Automatic Gearbox.
In terms of features, the SUV will sport ventilated front seats, Heads-up Display (HUD), Panoramic Sunroof on top, powered driver seat, wireless charging pad, 360 Degree Camera, Level 2 ADAS, 6 Airbags as standard, and many other features.
Tata Motors new SUV, Curvv will directly rival the upcoming Citroen Basalt SUV, while also competing against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota UC Hyryder, Honda Elevate, and Citroen C3 Aircross.
