With the recent new launch of the Mahindra XUV3XO SUV, Tata Nexon has decided to cut the pricing of its model by introducing new base variants for both Petrol and Diesel.
New Variants for Tata Nexon: Same Price as Hyundai’s Grand i10 Nios?
Two new variants introduced – Smart (O) for Petrol and Smart+ for Diesel. Tata lowered the pricing of these trims to be in contention with the XUV3XO. The Smart(O) Petrol variant is priced at Rs. 7.99 Lakh which is same as buying the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios’s Asta trim. Additionally, Tata has also cut the price of Smart+ variant by Rs. 31,000 taking it from Rs. 9.20 Lakh to Rs. 8.89 Lakh. They have added Reverse Parking Camera in Smart+ trim despite the price cut. Notably, the Smart+ S price is also reduced from Rs. 9.80 Lakh to Rs. 9.39 Lakh with price reduction by Rs. 41,000.

Diesel variants are now affordable as its now cheaper or affordable by Rs. 1.1 Lakh thanks to the new Smart+ trim which is priced at Rs. 9.99 Lakh and Smart+ S at Rs. 10.59 Lakh. The Smart+ Diesel trim comes with 7-inch Infotainment from Harman with Apple Carplay & Android Auto, 4 Speakers, Rear Parking Camera, Shark Fin Antenna, Steering Mounted Controls, electrically adjustable ORVMs, etc.
The Smart+ S trim gets voice activated sunroof, and automatic headlamps. As for Engine Options, nothing has changed. The Smart(O) and Smart+ Petrol trim comes with 5 Speed Gearbox while the Smart+ and Smart+ S Diesel trim comes with 6 Speed Gearbox.
Notably, Tata has discontinued the Smart and Fearless S trim from the line-up as well.
