After much anticipation, the Volkswagen ID.4 has been unveiled at the Annual Brand Conference 2024 in India, and will launch in India later this year.
Volkswagen ID.4: What You Need to Know!
The ID.4 is built on the MEB platform, the ID.4 is the second installment in Volkswagen’s ID. series, following its global debut in September 2020 as an all-electric crossover SUV. It was recently updated in Europe with enhancements including increased claimed range up to 556 km, faster charging capabilities, and a revamped infotainment system.

It comes fitted with a 58 kWh battery pack for the base variant and a larger 77 kWh pack in rear-wheel drive versions, coupled with a powerful motor, the ID.4 boasts improved performance and efficiency. The ID.4 Pro, for instance, offers a claimed driving range of 550 km on the WLTP cycle, with the rear-mounted electric motor producing 282 hp and 545 Nm of torque, marking a significant boost over its predecessor.
The top-of-the-line ID.4 GTX variant delivers even more impressive performance, with 335 BHP and sprints from 0 to 100 KMPH in about 5.4 Seconds. Inside, the ID.4 features a modern 12.9-inch Infotainment System display, digital instrument cluster with optional augmented reality Head-Up Display (HUD), Harman Kardon Premium Sound System, and so much more.
With its enhanced features and performance, the Volkswagen ID.4 is poised to compete with rivals in India like the Kia EV6 and Hyundai IONIQ 5 upon its arrival in the Indian market.
