New XUV3XO-rival is set to launch with craziest features that none would have imagined!
Kia is all set to debut its all-new SUV, the Syros, on later this week on Dec. 19, with its launch likely to coincide with the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. This move positions the Syros above the Sonet, emphasizing its premium appeal. Notably, the Syros becomes the fifth Kia model in India to feature a diesel powertrain.
Kia Syros – Design
The Syros showcases a bold and boxy design with striking elements such as Kia’s signature tiger-nose grille, vertically stacked LED headlights, LED DRLs, and sleek LED tail lamps. Its silhouette, characterized by a sharp kink in the window line reminiscent of the Skoda Yeti, blends style with practicality, while the upright stance ensures a commanding road presence. From the side, the SUV will be equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, while the rear profile will see connected LED Tail-lamps.
Inside, the Syros is set to deliver a premium experience with features like a panoramic sunroof that enhances the sense of space and luxury. The interior is expected to include a dual-tone theme, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, and generous cabin space for passengers and cargo, making it a practical choice for families and urban users.
Kia Syros – Engine Specifications
The Syros won’t be getting the 1.2L naturally-aspirated petrol engine, focusing instead on two other engine options:
- 1.0L turbo petrol engine – 118 bhp and 172 Nm – 6 Speed MT, and 7-speed DCT
- 1.5L diesel engine – 114 bhp and 250 Nm – 6 Speed MT / IMT / AT
Kia Syros – Features
On the technology front, the Syros will come equipped with Level 2 ADAS, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and collision avoidance systems. Safety will be further enhanced with six airbags, parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, and hill-hold assist, expected as standard on higher variants. Additional features such as a powered driver’s seat, dual 10.25-inch displays for infotainment and driver information, and front ventilated seats round out the premium offering.
Final Thoughts
With its striking design, advanced technology, and premium positioning, the Kia Syros aims to set new standards in the compact SUV segment when it arrives.
